Meet the Raid Buddy: a companion for solo Tombs of Amascut
Hire a Raid Buddy in the Tombs of Amascut lobby. It solves puzzles beside you, earns XP as you raid, and unlocks talents up to splitting into two.
Why a Raid Buddy
Several Tombs of Amascut puzzles are built for more than one player. On a smaller server that can leave solo players stuck, so Riverend adds a companion you can hire from beside the Grouping Obelisk in the lobby.
The buddy's first job is the puzzle rooms: pouring at the Crondis palm, stepping on Scabaras tiles, turning Het's mirrors and handling Apmeken's senses and vents. It also helps out in boss fights. If it falls, it never counts as a death for you and never costs an attempt.
Levels and talents
Your buddy earns experience while you raid with it: for each puzzle room, each boss, the Wardens and the finished raid, with more for higher raid levels. Raiding without one still teaches it a little.
Levels run from 1 to 30, and every level after the first gives a talent point. Spend them in the talent window to make the buddy faster, stronger and sturdier. The tree costs more points than a maxed buddy has, so you still have to choose.
The Twin
At the top of the tree, the Twin lets your buddy split into two that work independently, so split puzzles can be covered on both sides at once.
